A movie pitch
My last idea had mixed approval, so I'm pitching to you a new concept/idea:
Three ataraxic, seemingly unlinked, persons are sitting in a waiting room until a dog comes in to change their lives forever. |

Does it have tuberculosis or something? What sort of waiting room, doctor's, airport's, business? Why a dog? |

Is it a comedy or tragedy?
Will we have Shakespeare-esque lewdness? I want a return to the subtle, yet peverse, language and implication. Not just the tactless sexual hints we get now. |

 this one has much much more potential then the last one. "Three ataraxic, seemingly unlinked, persons are sitting in a waiting room until a dog comes in to change their lives forever." That line alone has manage to make me interested to "know more" and thats how you hold your audience attention. give them something then hold back a lot. what kind of waiting room << thats what i ask first than I thought what kind of waiting room allows dog to walk in? did it slip in/was it a stray?/does it belong to one of the 3 person?/or its a veterinarian waiting office? what breed of dog are all 3 persons female/male?, 2 males 1 female? 2 females 1 male? what are their age? how will they be link together in the story? common friends/health status/hobby/neighbourhood/work in the same building/ what/who are they waiting for? are they going away?/going for operations? were they there alone? what are the time, mordern/current/future/olden days/ okay, obviously if i have search for the definition of the word ataraxic: "Of or relating to a drug or other agent that has a tranquilizing effect." it would narrow down lots of things that make me think they would either be in a police station's waiting room, a rehab waiting room, a science facility's waiting room (human test subjects mwahahaha), hospital/clinic/dentist waiting room, but then again, what if it was not narrow down to waiting rooms that can be connected with being ataraxic? .... good one l r like Last edited by pumpkin pie; Jun 17, 2008 at 12:51 PM // 12:51.. |

ataraxic means to be unable to feel any emotion, feeling, stress, etc. Just as if your mind and body were separate.
